Page #20: “It isn’t that good, either.” (A Strong Note)
Fun fact: Chessie and Dook originally started as a bit Kelly and I would do with puppets. I had a ferret puppet, and later on she got a squirrel puppet to go with the squirrel voice she already had. The mysterious musical mouse was written specifically for the comic, without a puppet to represent her.

Yay, Folkmanis puppets! I’ve been a bit nervous about trying to get new ones since the quality seems to have dropped on them (stiffer movements, eyes or limbs not placed correctly, etc). The puppet I use for Chessie I’ve had for at least 3 years now, and it’s held up quite well. However, I do want to find a suitable replacement for just in case (a “stunt double”, if you will).
